USAREC spouse donates handmade masks to hospital workers

FORT Knox, Ky. — Service for some means wearing a uniform, but this U.S. Army Recruiting Command spouse found herself turning to a sewing machine to answer her call. Tessa Paszek, wife of Army recruiter Sgt. 1st Class Alex Paszek, saw a need for hospital masks for her nursing friends; and a desire to help out her inner circle quickly turned into hundreds of requests for handmade, washable face masks.

Ohio medical recruiters join community partner to provide free lunches for Akron students

AKRON, Ohio — Two Army recruiters assigned to the 3rd Medical Recruiting Battalion joined a local community partner and business owner to provide a supplemental lunch program to Akron, Ohio students between the ages of 1 and 18 recently.

Army Recruiting announces positive COVID-19 cases

FORT KNOX, Ky. — Two recruiters assigned to U.S. Army Recruiting Command* tested positive for the COVID-19 virus over the weekend and are currently in isolation at their residences. The Army is working with local health officials to begin the process of tracing and contacting people with whom the recruiters might have had contact with over the past two weeks.

Emergency medicine doctor shares Army story with premed students

WACO, Texas — “When I was at Baylor 9-11 happened,” said Army Capt. Vanessa Sieg, a former Baylor University graduate, now Army emergency medicine physician. “I don’t know if y’all remember that or not, but when 9-11 happened, I really felt that urge to join the military, that sense of duty to serve your country.”

RRC stops movement of students under DoD travel guidance

FORT KNOX, Ky. — U.S. Army Recruiting Command is stopping movement of all new students to the Recruiting and Retention College effective immediately, based on guidance issued March 13 by the Department of Defense to restrict domestic travel in an effort to mitigate the spread of COVID-19.

FORT KNOX, Ky — The U.S. Army is seeking qualified individuals looking to launch their careers. Signing bonuses up to $12,000 or student loan repayment up to $65,000 are available for multiple launch rocket system crewmembers, depending on the length of the term of service and the training ship date.
