      <description>The Department of Defense has directed all Military Treatment Facilities and Dental Treatment Facilities to postpone all elective procedures and dental procedures performed on beneficiaries. This aligns with actions being taken across the nation to conserve healthcare resources, as well as protects patients, medical personnel, and the community from potential exposure to COVID-19. MTFs and DTFs will continue to conduct surgeries and procedures to save lives and avoid further harm from underlying conditions or diseases, or where the risk of delaying the procedure outweighs all other considerations. &lt;br /&gt;
