Aug. 7, 2020 - For nearly a year Staff Sgt. Raul Guardado has worked as the Station Commander at the 3rd Recruiting Brigade’s Libertyville Recruiting Company in Waukegan, North Chicago. In that time, Guardado has held his own as a recruiter and ‘acting’ station commander, making his numbers, getting solid contacts and putting good candidates in uniform.

Sept. 24, 2019 - U.S. Army 3rd Recruiting Brigade hosted a three-day training forum for battalion and company leadership teams here Sept. 20-22.

New TRADOC Commanding General visits 3rd Recruiting Brigade (Marauders) at Fort Knox
Gen. Paul E. Funk II, TRADOC Commander, recognized 3rd Brigade staff members for their excellent job performance, by awarding them his coin before the start of the briefing with Brigade Commander, Col. Eric Lopez.  Staff members who received coins:  Maj. Melissa Miller, ORSA, Interim Brigade S-3; Capt. Tyler Fleck, Brigade JAG; Mr. Cliff Hedges, Chief, Logistics; Mr. Tom Bailey, Chief, Human Resources; and Ms. Elaine Monroe, Brigade RMS.
Aug. 1, 2019 - The 3rd Recruiting Brigade Commander Col. Eric Lopez briefed the new commanding general of U.S. Army Training and Doctrine Command Gen. Paul E. Funk II, in the briefing room at USAREC HQ, Fort Knox on 31 July.

Vision Statement

The Chicago Recruiting Battalion will be a mission based organization that enlists the most qualified Soldiers for both the Army Reserves and the Active Army components.  We will function as a team-of-teams, where every individual recruiter and staff member will conduct him/herself as a professional and always remain in line with the Army Values, the NCO Creed, and the Warrior Ethos.  We will inspire our local communities by maintaining superb physical fitness, by illuminating the virtues of Army service to the nation, and by fully integrating into schools and local activities.  Through all these endeavors, we will support our families and strive to make work fun and rewarding.  Strength and Honor!
