ABOUT NASHVILLE RECRUITING BATTALION

 

The Nashville Recruiting Battalion, with headquarters in Nashville, Tennessee, encompasses stateside square miles. It includes the 165 counties of Tennessee, Kentucky, Indiana, and Illinois.

Established in December, 1972, Nashville Battalion's Mission is to provide active Army and Army Reserve Enlistees for our Nation's defense. The Battalion operates 37 Recruiting Stations. Our recruiting force averages approximately 192 active Army and Army Reserve soldiers and 20 civilian employees. We maintain a vehicle fleet of approximately 260 vehicles.

We support 104 Army Reserve units in addition to our active Army mission. Special missions include: Special Forces, Warrant Officer Flight and Technical Programs and referrals for the Reserve Officer Training Corps and Officer Candidate School.

We are supported by three Military Entrance Processing Stations, located in Nashville, Tennessee, Knoxville, Tennessee and Louisville, Kentucky.
