WELCOME TO THE OKLAHOMA CITY RECRUITING BATTALION

We are here to support a smooth transition for you and your family. We recommend living within your assigned recruiting area to maximize family time. You’ll be assigned a sponsor and receive a welcome packet to guide you. Upon arrival, please report with your family to Battalion Headquarters for important briefings on medical and dental plans. WELCOME PACKET

To request a "Welcome Packet" please contact the Soldier Family Assistance Program Manager at 405-609-8789 with your complete mailing address and contact information. Please keep in mind your actual recruiting station assignment can change upon in-processing into the battalion.

IN-PROCESSING

Uniform for in-processing is the OCP or ACU uniform. Soldiers will be accompanied by a sponsor from the recruiting station. The process will take the entire duty day. The Battalion Headquarters is located in the OKC Federal building. There is a cafeteria in the basement.

You must bring the following items with you at the time you in process:

PCS orders and any amendments to these orders
Original DA 31 (signed by your outgoing unit)
Finance packet to include advance travel receipts (manila folder)
MOS orders (provided by the Army Recruiter School)
Army Recruiter Course (ARC) graduation certificate
Vehicle registration (if you have two vehicles)
Updated DD 93 and SGLI
Last Good Conduct orders or certificate
Most recent NCOER
Military ID card
Civilian and military drivers license
Quarters termination sheet if you lived in government quarters
MEDPROS Updated (if you are red ensure you know why and when it will be fixed)

It is important you have all the above required documents at the time of your in-processing. This is a large battalion. You may have a long drive back to your pinpoint assignment if you forget any of these documents. In-processing must be completed on the day you arrive at the battalion.

FAMILY SERVICES

If you are moving here from previous recruiting assignment, you are already used to the unique Army lifestyle. If you are new to recruiting, you will find this Army assignment is unique in many ways.
