Ohio company commander responds to local house fire
The actions of the New Castle Army Recruiting Company commander may have saved the home of a New Springfield, Ohio, family Aug. 15.

Capt. Erin Funkhouser was driving the backroads to the Pittsburgh Airport early that morning when she saw fire coming from the side of a house. She immediately stopped, pounded on the door to make sure the occupants were not still sleeping, and called the fire department.

Toledo Company sets monthly mission record
Sept. 16, 2020 - On an ordinary day in Cleveland Battalion’s Toledo Company Recruiting Station, you’ll most likely find a group of Soldiers working diligently to fulfill their mission - just as they have month after month. But August was not an ordinary month for the Toledo rockstars. For a company that often feels like the underdog, August presented them with mission numbers they had never seen before.

Sept. 24, 2019 - U.S. Army 3rd Recruiting Brigade hosted a three-day training forum for battalion and company leadership teams here Sept. 20-22.

New TRADOC Commanding General visits 3rd Recruiting Brigade (Marauders) at Fort Knox
Gen. Paul E. Funk II, TRADOC Commander, recognized 3rd Brigade staff members for their excellent job performance, by awarding them his coin before the start of the briefing with Brigade Commander, Col. Eric Lopez.  Staff members who received coins:  Maj. Melissa Miller, ORSA, Interim Brigade S-3; Capt. Tyler Fleck, Brigade JAG; Mr. Cliff Hedges, Chief, Logistics; Mr. Tom Bailey, Chief, Human Resources; and Ms. Elaine Monroe, Brigade RMS.
Aug. 1, 2019 - The 3rd Recruiting Brigade Commander Col. Eric Lopez briefed the new commanding general of U.S. Army Training and Doctrine Command Gen. Paul E. Funk II, in the briefing room at USAREC HQ, Fort Knox on 31 July.

July 29, 2019 - An Indianapolis Recruiting Battalion Army Reserve recruiter received a career-validating honor when she won the 2018 Association of the United States Army Active Guard Reserve Recruiter of the Year. Staff Sgt. Ashley Munger, assigned to the Shelbyville Army Recruiting Center in Shelbyville, Indiana, joined other AUSA winners in attending a breakfast and meet and greet with Sergeant Major of the Army Daniel Dailey at the Association of the United States Army annual meeting in Washington, D.C.
