WELCOME TO THE 1ST RECRUITING BRIGADE

~ “The VICTORY BRIGADE!” ~

New Soldiers, Families and Civilians –
Welcome to the 1st Recruiting Brigade.

Congratulations! You are coming to the Army’s 1st Recruiting Brigade. Your upcoming tour in 1st Brigade is going to be an exciting and rewarding adventure for you and your family. You will be part of one the most important missions the Army has—Recruiting and preparing new Soldiers for their Army careers.

Do you remember when you first joined the Army? Do you remember the inspiration your Army Recruiter was on your Army career? Now is your turn to be that inspiration for someone else. You will be remembered by the new Soldier during his entire career.

Whether you are coming to 1st Brigade as an on-production Recruiter or as a staff member, Recruiting is a rewarding and demanding mission. We conduct our  recruiting operations with precision and discipline. Our Soldiers are the Army’s ambassadors to communities throughout the Northeast and Mid-Atlantic states. You will represent the Army and the Army values to moms, dads, local community leaders, educators and influencers every day. You will get to become a member of your new local community.

Make as many friends as you can and take advantage of all the opportunities the area has to offer.

With all the opportunities your tour will have to offer, one of the great challenges for Soldiers coming on recruiting duty for the first time is being stationed to geographically dispersed locations. Sometimes you may feel isolated. Especially for those stationed away from common Army support structures.

Remember, wherever you are stationed, you are never alone. In the Brigade, there is always a shoulder to lean on, and someone will always be looking after you. Please, feel free to reach out BEFORE you have a problem. Everyone has gone through the initial stages of getting comfortable with a new Recruiting assignment. I am sure someone has the solution to whatever issue you may have discovered.

Be sure to take this time to get yourself ready. Check out the resource information listed on this website. Click on the resource links. Be sure to get a welcome packet. And go through the in-processing checklist. And, do you have a sponsor to help get you settled in? If not, don’t wait. Ask your commander.

Your new commander will share the Brigade’s vision and priorities. Your new battle buddies will show you the ropes. In no time you will get the swing of Army Recruiting and your new duty station.
