USARD Protection Working Group Hosts In Depth Workshop with FBI and TEDAC

The USARD Protection Working Group conducted a comprehensive two‑day workshop on August 4–5, 2026, led by Mr. Ed Sasan, Antiterrorism Officer for the 2nd Recruiting Brigade. The event featured an immersive visit to both the Federal Bureau of Investigation and the Terrorist Explosive Device Analytical Center (TEDAC), offering participants a rare, behind‑the‑scenes look at national investigative and analytical operations.

The 5th Recruiting Brigade held its Change of Command ceremony on July 16, 2026 at the historic Alamo, where they welcomed Col. Benjamin K. Bennett as the new commander and bid a fond farewell to the outgoing commander, Col. Julian Perez.

Rows of yellow school buses filled the parking lots of Sadowski Field as the booming echoes of drill sergeants resonated in the air. Mixed with the exhausted but determined breathing of high school athletes, the familiar sound of military discipline reverberated as students pushed past their limits and navigated an Army obstacle course.
