U.S. Army will achieve recruiting mission, improve quality in FY19

FORT KNOX, Ky. — The Department of the Army announced at the Pentagon today that it will achieve its regular Army recruiting goal of 68,000 new Soldiers this year. The recruiting goal was met in large part because of an overhauled recruiting approach and an increase in recruiters. “We are extremely proud of the Army’s recruiting efforts,” said acting secretary of the Army, Ryan D. McCarthy. “We changed the way we do business and got results. We are ensuring the Army is ready now and investing in the future."

Houston Medical Recruiting Company host biennial ceremony “The Avenger Way!”

Native American Soldier returns home to help recruiting mission

GALLUP, N.M. — As a youngster Sgt. Ignacio Alvarez dreamed of leaving his hometown of Gallup, tied down by the lack of opportunity and action. Joining the Army was his way out, something he did at the age of 17, never looking back. Eight years later he finds himself back in Gallup, recruiting for the Albuquerque Recruiting Company and making a difference in people’s lives.

August is Antiterrorism Awareness Month

This is the Army's tenth annual observance of this call to action for Soldiers, Army Civilians, Family members and retirees to be aware of the dangers posed by terrorism and to be prepared to help combat terrorism. Terrorist attacks have continued at an alarming pace this year. Vigilance and awareness remain critical to countering threats as the online radicalization and mobilization to violence continues to rise.
