Two Army recruiters assigned to the 3rd Medical Recruiting Battalion joined a local community partner and business owner to provide a supplemental lunch program to Akron, Ohio students between the ages of 1 and 18 recently.

Army Recruiting announces positive COVID-19 cases

Two recruiters assigned to U.S. Army Recruiting Command* tested positive for the COVID-19 virus over the weekend and are currently in isolation at their residences. The Army is working with local health officials to begin the process of tracing and contacting people with whom the recruiters might have had contact with over the past two weeks.

On March 19, 2020, a new online interactive COVID-19 symptom self-checker was launched. The self-checker helps users make decisions about seeking appropriate medical care. Emergency medicine doctor shares Army story with premed students

“When I was at Baylor 9-11 happened,” said Army Capt. Vanessa Sieg, a former Baylor University graduate, now Army emergency medicine physician. “I don’t know if y’all remember that or not, but when 9-11 happened, I really felt that urge to join the military, that sense of duty to serve your country.”
