Future Soldier overcomes loss, completes 10-year enlistment journey

Joining the U.S. Army has always been Christopher Henley’s dream. Both his grandfathers and sister served, he was in shape and he had always wanted to be a part of something bigger than himself. In 2019, Henley returned to his local Army recruiting station to continue on his enlistment journey.

Medical and Dental Treatment Facilities postpone all elective procedures

The Department of Defense has directed all Military Treatment Facilities and Dental Treatment Facilities to postpone all elective procedures and dental procedures performed on beneficiaries. This aligns with actions being taken across the nation to conserve healthcare resources, as well as protects patients, medical personnel, and the community from potential exposure to COVID-19. MTFs and DTFs will continue to conduct surgeries and procedures to save lives and avoid further harm from underlying conditions or diseases, or where the risk of delaying the procedure outweighs all other considerations.

HRAP Soldier movement update

Soldiers currently serving in the Hometown Recruiter Assistance Program who have assignments for locations in the continental United States have been released to travel to their units of assignment. Soldiers will be screened for COVID-19 prior to travel to mitigate the spread. For Soldiers with assignments outside the continental United States, USAREC is working with Human Resources Command for exceptions to policy or diversions to CONUS locations

Two Army recruiters assigned to the 3rd Medical Recruiting Battalion joined a local community partner and business owner to provide a supplemental lunch program to Akron, Ohio students between the ages of 1 and 18 recently.

Army Recruiting announces positive COVID-19 cases

Two recruiters assigned to U.S. Army Recruiting Command* tested positive for the COVID-19 virus over the weekend and are currently in isolation at their residences. The Army is working with local health officials to begin the process of tracing and contacting people with whom the recruiters might have had contact with over the past two weeks.
