USAREC Best Warrior named after first-ever virtual competition

FORT KNOX, Ky. — A 2nd Recruiting Brigade Soldier was named the U.S. Army Recruiting Command Best Warrior after the command’s first virtual competition held June 22-25. Staff Sgt. Channing Hosey, who is a recruiter in the Raleigh Battalion, won the weeklong competition, which included a combination of physical challenges at the home station and a virtual board to test their knowledge.

U.S. Army aims to hire 10,000 new Soldiers during three-day event

FORT KNOX, Ky. — The U.S. Army is kicking off its first nationwide virtual hiring campaign June 30-July 2 with a goal of recruiting 10,000 new Soldiers to serve in 150 different occupations. Army National Hiring Days is an all-Army effort to inspire individuals across the nation to “Join Us.”

Army healthcare professionals answer call to service

FORT KNOX, Ky. — The 3rd Medical Recruiting Battalion welcomed 10 new medical officers to the Army during the first-ever, nationwide virtual commissioning ceremony hosted by U.S. Army Surgeon General Lt. Gen. R. Scott Dingle May 20.

U.S. Army offering up to $30k for Active Duty PSYOP Specialists

FORT KNOX, Ky. — The U.S. Army is seeking qualified individuals to serve as active duty psychological operations specialists and is offering signing bonuses up to $30,000 or student loan repayment up to $65,000, depending on the length of the term of service and the training ship date.

The one thing Staff Sgt. Rey Pagan said he truly loves about the Army is its traditions. Everything from the uniform to the leadership role of the noncommissioned officer is steeped in more than 200 years of honor and tradition.

Vermont recruiter reflects on Army career and 245 years of history

ALBANY, N.Y. — When the first Continental Congress founded the Army in 1775, it was done to protect the original 13 colonies against invasion by the British. The U.S. Army continues to fight to protect Americans from aggressors 245 years later. It does so successfully because of Soldiers who are dedicated and determined to maintain the traditions and roles established all those years ago.
