First recruiters in 10 years receive ultimate recruiting achievement award

RALEIGH, N.C. — The Army’s top recruiting award was presented for the first time in 10 years to eight recruiters from the Raleigh Recruiting Battalion at a ceremony held here today.

Army leaders recognize top recruiters for recent success

WASHINGTON — Army leaders honored some of the force's top recruiters at a ceremony Wednesday for their efforts in placing nearly 200 recruits in uniform during the first quarter of this fiscal year. Sixteen recruiters from across U.S. Army Recruiting Command were recognized at the ceremony inside the Pentagon's Hall of Heroes, including two staff sergeants from the same recruiting station in California.

1SG Brian Filipowski: A temporary setback takes him to the top

HOUSTON — The first sergeant of U.S. Army Medical Recruiting Company, Houston unexpectedly tore his bicep tendon during a team-building event and a match of ultimate Frisbee in 2018. This injury led to surgery, months of rehabilitation, and a temporary setback that changed his life.

IES Communications becomes latest Army PaYS partner

TEMPE, Ariz. — The Partnership for Youth Success program held a partnership signing agreement between the U.S. Army and Integrated Electrical Services Communications Jan. 21 at IES headquarters in Tempe, Arizona. The agreement between IES and PaYS is part of a program designed to prepare, train and connect Soldiers to future employers.

FORT KNOX, Ky. — A number of fraudulent text messages informing individuals they have been selected for a military draft have circulated throughout the country this week. U.S. Army Recruiting Command has received multiple calls and emails about these fake text messages and wants to ensure Americans understand these texts are false and were not initiated by this command or the U.S. Army.

New entrance test to increase Soldier quality, reduce attrition

WASHINGTON — A new military entrance exam is now being given to Army recruits to predict performance, behaviors, attitude, and attrition of potential Soldiers. The pilot program is designed to see how the Army can get best-fit recruits, even in jobs that require slightly higher standardized test scores than the applicant achieved.
