Astronaut aboard ISS swears in 27 local future soldiers

LAKE FOREST, Calif. — Twenty-seven future Soldiers from Southern California ceremonially swore-in to the U.S. Army during a nationally televised ceremony led by a Soldier and astronaut aboard the International Space Station Feb. 26.

Citizens join the military during the San Antonio Rodeo’s first ever joint enlistment ceremony

JOINT BASE SAN ANTONIO-FORT SAM HOUSTON, Texas — Over 150 citizens from the San Antonio and surrounding areas took the oath of enlistment during the first ever Joint services ceremony hosted at the San Antonio Stock Show and Rodeo on February 22, 2020.

Army astronaut to administer oath of enlistment from space

FORT KNOX, Ky. — U.S. Army Recruiting Command is partnering with NASA and Space Center Houston to host the first nationwide oath of enlistment from the International Space Station on Feb. 26, 2020. Army astronaut Col. Andrew Morgan will administer the oath on a live broadcast more than 800 Future Soldiers at more than 100 locations across the country and will answer questions from participating schools.

Army leaders recognize top recruiters for recent success

WASHINGTON — Army leaders honored some of the force's top recruiters at a ceremony Wednesday for their efforts in placing nearly 200 recruits in uniform during the first quarter of this fiscal year. Sixteen recruiters from across U.S. Army Recruiting Command were recognized at the ceremony inside the Pentagon's Hall of Heroes, including two staff sergeants from the same recruiting station in California.
