Meet your recruiter - Sgt. 1st Class Jordan Soriano

Sgt. 1st Class Jordan Soriano, a native of Las Vegas, Nevada, serves as a recruiter with the 6th Medical Recruiting Battalion in Las Vegas, Nevada. Soriano joined the Army as a combat medic specialist because it put him in a position to make a real impact on the welfare of his fellow Soldiers.

USAREC celebrates promotions at RRC graduation

The U.S. Army Recruiting and Retention College has been training and educating Army recruiters since 1983. While the curriculum has evolved, its purpose to turn Army Soldiers into Army recruiters has not. During a Dec. 14 ceremony at Olive Theater, Fort Knox, Kentucky, 151 men and women graduated from the RRC. Of those, 60 graduates earned a meritorious promotion.

Now working as the Soldier and Family Assistance Program Manager for the Seattle Army Recruiting Battalion, Parsons was Marton’s recruiter when she enlisted in the early 1990s.

20 Soldiers Master their Craft

This week 32 Soldiers from across the country traveled to Fort Knox, Kentucky, to participate in the Master Recruiter Badge competition. After a week of intense testing and preparation, 20 Soldiers emerged as experts in the recruiting field and earned the Master Recruiter Badge in a ceremony at U.S. Army Recruiting Command headquarters, Dec. 8.
