FORT KNOX, Ky. –
The 3rd Recruiting Brigade Commander Col. Eric Lopez briefed the new commanding general of U.S. Army Training and Doctrine Command Gen. Paul E. Funk II, in the briefing room at U.S. army Recruiting Command headquarters, Fort Knox, Kentucky, on July 31. While standing on a floor map of the 3rd Brigade footprint, Lopez highlighted challenges the team faces, his vision and successes of the Marauder Brigade.
Before the briefing, Funk recognized seven brigade staff members for their excellent job performance by awarding them his coin. Staff members who received coins are Maj. Melissa Miller, operations research and systems analysis officer and interim brigade S-3; Capt. Tyler Fleck, brigade judge advocate general; Mr. Cliff Hedges, chief of logistics; Mr. Tom Bailey, chief of human resources; and Ms. Elaine Monroe, brigade resource management specialist.
