Blood, sweat and heart: Army officer stamps his ticket to CrossFit Games

FORT KNOX, Ky. — After placing fifth at the Rogue Invitational in Columbus, Ohio, an armor officer and member of the Army Warrior Fitness Team has stamped his ticket to the CrossFit Games starting Thursday in Madison, Wisconsin.

Shelbyville Recruiter has family support

FORT KNOX, Ky. — An Indianapolis Recruiting Battalion Army Reserve recruiter received a career-validating honor when she won the 2018 Association of the United States Army Active Guard Reserve Recruiter of the Year. Staff Sgt. Ashley Munger, assigned to the Shelbyville Army Recruiting Center in Shelbyville, Indiana, joined other AUSA winners in attending a breakfast and meet and greet with Sergeant Major of the Army Daniel Dailey at the Association of the United States Army annual meeting in Washington, D.C.

Unfazed by the commotion overhead, Sgt. David Blose maintained his composure as he crouched in a corner to hold his defensive position. Any "noob," or rookie, would have charged upstairs to engage the enemy — but not Blose.
