To qualify as an Army musician, you must first audition. The audition will test your level of proficiency and versatility on your instrument. This will include the ability to sight-read music and be able to perform that piece of music. After your audition you will be notified whether you are selected and what placement you could receive. You could get placed in one of the Army’s premier bands or in one of the many active duty and reserve component bands across the country.

CASP recognizes all the critical, pre-existing skills you can bring to the organization; because of this you could join with advanced rank, potential bonuses, and expedited training.
