FORT KNOX, Ky. –
Staff Sgt. Casey Mitchell, a native of Spanish Fork, Utah, serves as a recruiter in Butte, Montana. U.S. Army Recruiting Command leadership recently recognized Mitchell as a standout performer.
Mitchell joined the Army as CH-47 helicopter repairer because he enjoyed knowing that his decisions were keeping Army aircraft in the sky. The people around him also motivated him to enlist in the Army.
“I serve in the U.S. Army to better myself and the people around me,” Mitchell said. “The amount of pride you get in serving in such an organization is unmatched.”
“Staff Sgt. Chambers, from Provo Recruiting Station back in 2013, inspired me because of her knowledge of what the Army offers, and how the Army could change a 17-year-old's life,” Mitchell said.
USAREC provides him the pleasure of changing young lives and flexibility in his schedule for family time. It also affords him the opportunity to get out and serve his community.
“The success I have I would have to give credit to my lovely wife Allissia, my stepdad Dave, and my mother Jen,” Mitchell said.
When not recruiting, Mitchell enjoys hiking, fishing, camping and going on drives with his family.
