WELCOME TO THE NORTHERN CALIFORNIA RECRUITING BATTALION
Greetings from Sacramento, California! Congratulations on your selection to serve in an outstanding organization with an important mission and some of the Army's finest Soldiers located in one of the most beautiful parts of the country. As the commander of the Northern California Recruiting Battalion, my wife and I would like to extend our sincere welcome to the Battalion and the area. Your assignment as a U.S. Army Recruiter has many challenges waiting for you as you work to fill the ranks of America's Army. Life as a recruiter is demanding and fast paced, but with the satisfaction that the folks we recruit represent the future of our Army. I am confident that you will meet each challenge with a positive attitude and successfully accomplish your professional and personal goals while you are here.
The Northern California Recruiting Battalion consists of six companies covering 112,000 square miles in Northern California, Southern Oregon, and Western Nevada. The area contains some of the country’s most beautiful sites, including Lake Tahoe, Napa/Sonoma Wine Country, the Sierra Nevada Mountains, the northern California Pacific Coast, and the Capital city of California. While you are stationed here, I encourage you to take time to enjoy what the area has to offer.
