FORT KNOX, Ky., April 4, 2019 —
The U.S. Army Recruiting Command has amped up its awards program adding quarterly recognition ceremonies with incentives for recruiters this year.
Recruiting goes beyond phone calls and paperwork: it’s volunteer teaching in schools, it’s coaching youth sports teams, and talking to parents to ease their concerns about Army life for their children. A top priority for the command team is to reward recruiters for all they do.
“Taking care of Soldiers is not just a fun day on organizational day,” said Command Sgt. Maj. Tabitha Gavia.
The command team has taken many steps to improve its processes and ways to recognize recruiters for a job well done.
“I want to be a part of an organization where people are fighting to get into, not out,” Maj. Gen. Frank Muth said during a recent virtual town hall.
