Lt. Col. Fabienne Dennery is a native New Yorker. She earned her commission through the ROTC program at St. John’s University, New York, in May 1999.
Dennery’s first duty assignment was to Fort Drum, New York, where she served with the 3rd Battalion 62nd Air Defense Artillery as the Battalion S1, then as the Division Strength Manager, G1 for the 10th Mountain Division, and finally as the company commander for the Headquarters and Headquarters Company and Bravo Company, 10th Soldier Support Battalion. Her next assignment with Sacramento Recruiting Battalion in Sacramento, California, where she served as the Capital Recruiting Company Commander. Her next assignment was to Fort Knox, Kentucky, where she served as the Eastern Region Cadet Command S1 Operations Officer. Her next assignment took her overseas to Germany, where she served in numerous assignments. She began as the Brigade S1 for the 18th Military Police Brigade and was later selected to serve as the 21st Theater Sustainment Command Secretary General Staff and the Commanding General’s executive officer. She also deployed to Afghanistan with the 12th Combat Aviation Brigade as the Brigade S1. After she returned from her deployment, Dennery was selected as the commander for the Syracuse Military Entrance Processing Station in Syracuse, New York. Upon completion, she was assigned to the United States Transportation Command, Scott Air Force Base, Illinois, to perform the duties of the Deployment, Readiness and Integration Chief, J1 and the Deputy Commander, Army Element. Her next assignment took to her Carlisle Barracks, Pennsylvania, to be the Secretary-General Staff at the United States Army War College.
Her professional military education includes the Adjutant General Officer basic and advance course, the recruiter company commander’s course, Joint Professional Military Education course, and Battalion, Adjutant and USAREC Pre-Command Courses. She earned her bachelor of arts in government and politics and a double minor in English and business from St. John’s University. Dennery earned a Master’s in Human Resource Development from Webster’s University.
Dennery’s military awards and decorations include two Defense Meritorious Service Medals, four Meritorious Service Medals, four Army Commendation Medals, the Army Achievement Medal and numerous service medals and ribbons. She has also earned the Recruiter Badge.
Dennery and her husband, Cisco, reside in Mechanicsburg, Pennsylvania, with their son, William.
