LTC Ryan S. Bible enlisted in the United States Army as a 91S Preventive Medicine Technician in 1997. He received a direct commission in the Medical Service Corps as an Environmental Science and Engineering Officer in January 2001. He holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Environmental Studies from Ohio Northern University, Ada, Ohio, and a Master of Science in Environmental Health from the University of Washington, Seattle, Washington. He is a graduate of the Senior Officer Legal Orientation Course; Army, USAREC, and AMEDD Pre Command Courses; Command and General Staff College; the AMEDD Basic and Advanced Officer Courses; the Joint Medical Planners Course; the Support Operations Course; the Medical Management of Chemical and Biological Casualties Course; the Preventive Medicine Senior Leaders Course; the Principles of Military Preventive Medicine Course; the Basic and Intermediate Industrial Hygiene Courses; and the Instructor Training Course.
LTC Bible’s most recently served as the Executive Officer to the Commanding General of Regional Health Command – Atlantic, Fort Belvoir, Virginia. His previous assignments include Deputy Commander for Public Health Command – Atlantic, Fort George G. Meade, Maryland; Military Personnel Exchange Program Officer, Joint Health Command, Canberra, Australia; Commander, 71st Medical Detachment (Preventive Medicine), Baumholder, Germany; Instructor, Army Medical Department Center and School, Fort Sam Houston, Texas; Environmental Science and Engineering Officer, Multinational Division – Center, Baghdad, Iraq; Division Environmental Science and Engineering Officer, 3d Infantry Division (Mechanized), Fort Stewart, Georgia; Medical Intern, Joint Logistics Directorate (J4), the Joint Staff, Washington, D.C.; Industrial Hygiene and Field Preventive Medicine Project Officer, Center for Health Promotion and Preventive Medicine – Region North, Fort George G. LTC Bible is married to the former Ms. Elizabeth “Paige” Snyder and they have two sons, Denver and Samuel.
