Lt. Col. Sean Bell

Lieutenant Colonel Sean Bell was raised in Pinellas County, Florida, and enlisted in the U.S. Army as an M1 Abrams crewman in July 1996. As an enlisted Soldier, he served in 3-69 Armor, 3d Infantry Division, Fort Stewart, Georgia, and 4-7 Cavalry, 2d Infantry Division, Camp Garry Owen, Korea. He was awarded a four-year Green-to-Gold Army ROTC Scholarship in 1999.

In 2003, LTC Bell was commissioned into the Adjutant General’s Corps (branch-detailed Armor) through the University of South Florida Army ROTC program. From 2003 to 2006, he served as a tank platoon leader in 1-64 Armor and as the executive officer for Headquarters Company, 2d Brigade, 3d Infantry Division, Fort Stewart, Georgia.

After transitioning to the Adjutant General’s Corps in 2006, LTC Bell served as the S-1 for 1-72 Armor, 2d Infantry Division, Camp Casey, Korea in 2007, and he commanded the Arapahoe Recruiting Company in Denver, Colorado, from 2008 to 2010. Following command, he joined the 2d Cavalry Regiment in Vilseck, Germany, serving initially as the S-1 for 2d Squadron before serving the remainder of his tour as the Regimental S-1.

After completing the Command and General Staff Officer Course at Fort Leavenworth, Kansas, LTC Bell was assigned as the S-3 for the 5th Recruiting Brigade at Joint Base San Antonio, Texas, from 2014 to 2015.  Afterwards, he served as the Executive Officer to the Commanding General of U.S. Army Recruiting Command at Fort Knox, Kentucky, from 2015 to 2017.  His most recent assignment, from 2017 to 2020, was as the Head of Military Human Resources for the NATO International Military Staff at NATO Headquarters in Brussels, Belgium.

LTC Bell is a graduate of the Armor Officer Basic Course, the Adjutant General Captains’ Career Course, and the U.S. Army Command and General Staff College.  He holds a B.A. in Business Management and an M.A. in Human Resources Management.

LTC Bell has completed overseas tours in Egypt, the Republic of Korea, Iraq, Afghanistan, Germany, and Belgium.  He has deployed in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom and Operation Enduring Freedom.  Highlights of his awards, decorations, and badges include the Bronze Star Medal, the Defense Meritorious Service Medal, the Meritorious Service Medal, the Army Commendation Medal, the Basic Recruiter Badge, and the Combat Action Badge.

He and his wife have three outstanding sons.
