Command Sgt. Maj. Emmanuel A. Bryant

Command Sgt. Maj. Emmanuel Bryant enlisted into the U.S. Army on August 20, 1997 as a Radio and Comsec Repairer (94E).  He completed Basic Combat Training at Fort Sill, OK and AIT at Fort Gordon, Georgia.

His previous duty assignments include; 362nd Signal Company, Yong San, Korea; 16th Signal Battalion, Fort Hood, Texas; Jackson Recruiting Battalion, as a recruiter in Gulfport Recruiting Station; Montgomery Recruiting Battalion as station commander of Troy and Dothan Recruiting Stations; Mid Atlantic Recruiting Battalion as the station commander of Cottman Station and first sergeant of South Jersey Recruiting Company; Seattle Recruiting Battalion as senior master trainer, first sergeant of Olympia Recruiting Company, and  operations sergeant major. He most recently served as the operations sergeant major for Montgomery Recruiting Battalion. 

Bryant’s military schools include; Recruiting Company Commander/First Sergeant Course, Unit Training Manager Course, Senior Leader Course, Advanced Leader Course, Basic Leader Course, Unit Prevention Leader Course, Master Fitness Trainer Course, Army Recruiter Course, Station Commander Course, and the Equal Opportunity Leader Course. He is currently enrolled in Class 45 of the Sergeant Major Non-Resident Course.

Bryant earned a Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration from Saint Leo University in 2007 and a master’s in Business Administration from Troy University in 2014.

His awards and decorations include; the Meritorious Service Medal with 2 oak leaf clusters, the Army Commendation Medal with three oak leaf clusters, the Army Achievement Medal with two oak leaf  clusters, the Good Conduct Medal 7th Award, the National Defense Service Medal, the Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, the Korean Defense Service Medal, the Noncommissioned Officer Development Ribbon, and the Overseas Service Ribbon.  He has also earned the U.S. Army Gold Recruiting Badge, the Recruiting Ring, and the Glen E. Morrell Award for Recruiting Excellence.

He married the former Felicia Spann of Gulfport, Mississippi on June 29, 2005.  They have three children, Ebony (19), Tiana (25), and Trevante (23).
