Sergeant Lane Ichord

Sergeant Ichord is a native of Waterford, California. He graduated from Hughson High School in 2012. He joined the Army on January 26, 2015, and was assigned to the U.S. Army Marksmanship Unit Service Rifle Team June 19 of the same year, after he completed one station unit training at Fort Benning, Georgia.

Ichord began competitively shooting in 2010 and has already earned both the Distinguished Rifleman’s Badge and Presidents Hundred Tab.

He was a firing member of the winning Long Range Service team at the National Championships from 2015-2019. He was a firing member on the record setting 10 Man Team Match at the Interservice Championships in 2017. He was a firing member on the winning 10 Man Team match in 2018 and 2019. He is the current Interservice Special 600 match Service Rifle record holder. He also won the 2018 CMP Service Rifle Long Range Championship.

His awards include the Army Commendation Medal, 2 Army Achievement Medals, Army Good conduct Medal, National Defense Service Medal, Army Service Ribbon, Distinguished Rifleman Badge, and President’s Hundred Tab.  He also graduated from basic leaders course in 2018.
