2nd Medical Recruiting Battalion Commander

Lt. Col. William "Kyle" White

Lt. Col. William “Kyle” White is a native Texan. He earned a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Psychology with a Biology minor in 2006 from Texas Christian University in Fort Worth, Texas.  In August 2006, he commissioned as a 2LT in the U.S. Army Medical Service Corps.

White has led military medicine in operational command and staff positions over the past 19 years.  His assignments include:  Medical Platoon Leader/ Medical Operations Officer, 2-503rd Parachute Infantry Regiment (The Rock), 173rd Airborne Brigade Combat Team, Vicenza, Italy; Adjutant, Headquarters, Europe Regional Medical Command, Heidelberg Germany; B Co Commander, 212th Combat Support Hospital (CSH), Miesau, Germany; Chief, Business Operations Division, TRICARE Eurasia-Africa Area Office, Sembach, Germany; Chief, Managed Care Division, Fort Belvoir Community Hospital, Virginia; Executive Officer, Army-Baylor Graduate Program in Health and Business Administration, San Antonio, Texas; Commander, Headquarter Support Company, MEDCoE, Fort Sam Houston, Texas; Faculty, Army-Baylor MHA/MBA Program

White is a dedicated lifelong learner.  He earned his Master of Healthcare Administration and Master of Business Administration through the Army-Baylor Graduate Program in 2015.  He is currently enrolled as a Doctoral Candidate at the University of Pennsylvania’s Wharton School of Business where he is pursuing a PhD in Managerial Sciences and Applied Microeconomics.  His dissertation explores the effects of procedural knowledge acquisition (learning) on labor market outcomes like absenteeism and turnover in the Military Health System.  Since 2019, he holds an appointment as an Associate Research Fellow, Leonard Davis Institute of Health Economics, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.  

White’s professional military education includes the Advanced Instructor Course, Command and General Staff College, Common Faculty Instructor Course, AMEDD Officer’s Advanced Course, and the final class of the AMEDD’s Officer’s Basic Course.  His awards include the Presidential Unit Citation, the Valorous Unit Award, the Defense Meritorious Service Medal, 4x Meritorious Service Medals, the Joint Service Commendation Medal, Army Commendation Medal, Army Achievement Medal, the Basic Parachutist Badge, Combat Medic Badge, Senior Instructor Badge, and the Army Ranger Tab.
