Command Sergeant Major Brian Jones was born in Yonkers, NY and enlisted into the United States Army in 2001 as a wheeled vehicle mechanic. His first duty station was Fort Cavazos, TX where he deployed with the 1st Cavalry Division in support of Operation Iraq Freedom. He later was assigned as a recruiter for the New York City Recruiting Battalion in 2007. Later, he served as a Station Commander on recruiting duty in Chicago, IL. He then went on to become an instructor for the U.S. Army Recruiting and Retention College in Fort Knox, Ky and then proceeded to serve as a First Sergeant in Valdosta, Ga.
He graduated from the Sergeants Major Academy in 2023, where he received his BA in leadership and was assigned as the Operations Sergeant Major of the New York City Recruiting Battalion where he managed all five boroughs to include Westchester County with all U.S. Army enlistments.
He is also a graduate of Troy University where he received his BA in History and his Masters in Adult Education.
