Command Sgt. Maj. Adam Breeding is a native of Beaverton, Michigan. He enlisted in the United States Army in July 1999. He attended One Stop Unit Training (OSUT) at Fort Moore, Georgia as an infantryman.
His assignments include service at units at Hunter Army Airfield, Georgia; Fort Moore, Georgia; Fort Liberty, North Carolina and Fort Bliss, Texas. Breeding has also served in various leadership positions to include Team Leader, Anti-Tank Gun Team Leader, Squad Leader, Test Parachutist, Platoon Sergeant, First Sergeant, and Battalion Operations Sergeant Major. He has deployed to both Afghanistan and Iraq.
Breeding’s education includes all noncommissioned officer schools, including being a graduate of the United States Army Sergeant’s Major Academy Class 72. He is also a graduate of Airborne School, Ranger School, Jumpmaster School, Pathfinder School, Military Free Fall Parachutist (basic and jumpmaster) Course, Air Assault School, and Survival Evasion Resistance and Escape Level C (SERE-C). He has a bachelor’s in both Sports and Health Sciences and Leadership and Workforce Development, and a master’s in business administration from Webster University.
His awards include the Bronze Star, Meritorious Service Medal (3 OLC), Army Commendation Medal (4OLC), Joint Service Achievement Medal, Army Achievement Medal (2 OLC), the Combat Infantryman’s Badge, Expert Infantryman’s Badge, the Master Rated Parachutist Badge, Air Assault Badge, Pathfinder Badge, Military Freefall Jumpmaster Parachutist Badge, and various other awards and decorations.
