Staff Sgt. Flores-Rodriguez serves on the United States Army ‘As You Were’ (AYW) Band, where he shares his passion for the musical industry on and off the stage across the United States. Ultimately demonstrating that you can continue to serve and live out your passions. He enlisted in the Army in January of 2015 as a Musician (42R) and is also the bassist for AYW.
He has held numerous positions to include musician, operations NCO, and bassist.
His previous duty stations have included: Fort Jackson, South Carolina; Scholfield Barracks, Hawaii; and Fort Knox, Kentucky.
SSG Flores was selected as part of the U.S. Army’s AYW Band in October of 2021. He has been awarded the Army Commendation Medal (3), Army Achievement Medal (7), Army Good Conduct Ribbon (2), Army Superior Unit Award (1), and the Driver and Mechanic badge.
During his free time, he enjoys spending time with his family and sharing his love for music with youth by performing at high schools and colleges across the United States.
