Command Sgt. Maj. Aaron T. Iskendarian

Command Sgt. Maj. Aaron T. Iskendarian born in Visalia, CA and enlisted in the active Army in 2000. He attended Basic Combat Training at Fort Sill, OK and Advanced Individual Training at Fort Lee, VA.

His military assignments included the 4th Infantry Division; Fort Carson, CO; 6th Air Cavalry, Camp Eagle, Korea; 15th MI BN, 504th MI BDE, Fort Hood, TX; Fresno Recruiting Company; Los Angeles Recruiting BN; Phoenix Central Recruiting Company; Tempe Recruiting Company, Phoenix Recruiting Battalion; Fayetteville Recruiting Company, Raleigh Recruiting Battalion; Capitol Recruiting Company; NORCAL Recruiting Battalion; Orlando Recruiting Company, Tampa Recruiting Battalion; Recruiting and Retention College, Fort Knox, KY; HQ Chicago Recruiting Battalion; HQ 2nd Recruiting Brigade. He is currently assigned as the Command Sergeant Major for the Nashville Recruiting Battalion.

His leadership positions include Petroleum Supply Sergeant, headquarters Platoon Sergeant, Station Commander (three recruiting stations), First Sergeant (two companies), Battalion Operations Sergeant Major, Brigade Operations Sergeant Major.

His civilian education consists of a Master of Science in Performance Improvement (graduated with distinction) and a Bachelor of Science from the University of Arkansas Grantham (Magna Cum Laude).  His military education includes; the Primary Leadership Development Course, , Advanced Leader Course (Exceeds Course Standards), Army Recruiter Course, and the Senior Leader Course (Exceeds Course Standards), Station Commander Course (Leadership award), Recruiting Company Commander First Sergeant Course, and a graduate of the SGM-A Non-Resident Course (Class 45)

Iskenderian’s awards and decorations include Meritorious Service Medal (6th Award), Army Commendation Medal (4th award), Army Achievement Medal (12th award), Good Conduct Medal (7th award), National Defense Service Medal, GWOT Service Medal, GWOT Expeditionary Medal, Noncommissioned Officer Professional Development Ribbon (4), Army Service Ribbon, Overseas Ribbon (2). He has been awarded the COL Robert L. Manning Medallion, Horatio Gates Medallion, Recruiting Excellence Medallion, Glen E. Morrell Medallion, Army Recruiter Ring, and the Recruiter Ring of Excellence.
