Master Sgt. Edward McQuay

Accessions Liaison

Master Sgt. Edward Andrew McQuay was born in Brownsville, TX and he graduated from Hanna High School in 2001. Always dedicated to serve his country, he joined the Army in October 2001 as an air and missile defense crewmember and was assigned as a paratrooper with the 82nd Airborne Division. While assigned to the 82nd Airborne Division, McQuay deployed twice to Afghanistan and Iraq. He was awarded commendations for his support to the Mission Operation Iraqi Freedom and Operation Enduring Freedom. 

Following his assignment in Fort Bragg, North Carolina, McQuay was tasked to be a detail recruiter in San Antonio, Texas as a recruiter McQuay earned the Gold Recruiter Badge, this led him to reclassify and become a career recruiter. McQuay served as a Station Commander for five different recruiting stations in San Antonio, Texas, Miami, Florida, and Lubbock, Texas. McQuay has assisted with the enlistment of over 1,250 new Soldiers in the Army.   

Stationed at Fort Moore, Georgia since July 2021, McQuay is a member of the Army Marksmanship Unit and works as an accession’s liaison in support of U.S. Army Accessions. 

His awards include the Army Commendation Medal with five Oak Leaf Clusters, Army Achievement Medal with five Oak Leaf Clusters, Army Good Conduct Metal 5th award, National Defense Service Metal, Global War on Terrorism Expeditionary Metal, Global War on Terrorism Service Metal, Army NCO Professional Development Ribbon 3rd Award, Army Service Ribbon, Overseas Ribbon, Recruiter Gold Badge, Parachutist Badge, and Expert Rifle Marksmanship Badge.
