Staff Sgt. Benjamin Gossett was born in Warrenton, MO. He graduated from Warrenton High School in 2010. He then graduated from the Colorado School of Trades with a degree in gunsmithing in 2016.
Gossett enlisted in the Marine Corps in August of 2010 and was assigned to 2nd BN 4th Marines in Camp Pendleton, CA. He subsequently joined the Army and was assigned to the U.S. Army Marksmanship Unit in January of 2017.
Gossett has graduated from the Mortar Leaders Course, Basic Leaders Course, Fort Benning, GA (2018), Advanced Leaders Course, Fort Benning, GA (2019).
His awards include the Combat Action Ribbon, Marine Corps Good Conduct Medal, National Defense Service Medal, Afghanistan Campaign Medal-Campaign Star, Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, Navy Sea Service Deployment Ribbon and the NATO Medal.
