Lt. Col. Christopher W. Remillard

Lt. Col. Christopher W. Remillard hails from Syracuse, New York. He received his Bachelor of Science in Clinical Sciences in 2003 with completion of the Masters of Science in Physical Therapy the following year from Ithaca College, NY. During his studies at Ithaca College, LTC Remillard was enrolled in Cornell University’s Army ROTC program, commissioning in 2004 as a 65B, Physical Therapist. LTC Remillard completed a Masters in Healthcare Administration in 2013 through the Army’s Long Term Health Education and Training (LTHET) program. He returned to clinical studies shortly thereafter, graduating from Temple University’s Doctor of Physical Therapy program in 2014.
 

LTC Remillard was the Director for the US Army Physical Fitness School, overseeing the integration and education of Holistic Health and Fitness (H2F) doctrine in the Master Fitness Trainer Course for implementation across the Army. As the Deputy Division Surgeon and Human Performance Optimization (HPO) Director for 3d Infantry Division, he was part of the Army’s first team of division level HPO experts to advise commanders on H2F implementation and integration, and served as the medical readiness advisor for the Division Command team. Prior assignments include: Physical Therapy and Rehabilitation Chief, Evans Army Community Hospital, Fort Carson, CO; Executive Officer, Soldier Center Medical Home, Joint Base Elmendorf-Richardson, AK; Chief, Physical Therapy, Lyster Army Health Clinic, Ft. Rucker, AL; Brigade Physical Therapist, 4th BCT, 3d Infantry Division, FOB Kalsu, Iraq; OIC, Physical Therapy Section, Nelson Troop Clinic, Ft. Knox, KY; and Physical Therapist, Ireland Army Community Hospital, Ft. Knox, KY.
 

LTC Remillard’s Military education includes Medical Department (AMEDD) Officer Basic Course (OBC), Officer Advanced Course, Command and General Staff College [earning ASI 6Z - Strategist], Healthcare Administration Course [ASI 8S - Health Systems Management Analyst], and US Army Flight Surgeon Course. His civilian certifications include Orthopedic Certified Physical Therapist, Tactical Strength and Conditioning-Facilitator, USA Weight Lifting Level 1 Coach, Pose Running Technique Level 1 Coach.

LTC Remillard’s awards and decorations include Meritorious Service Medal (4 OLC), Army Commendation Medal, Army Achievement Medal (1 OLC) Army Meritorious Unit Commendation, Army Superior Unit Award 1 OLC), National Defense Service Medal, Iraq Campaign Medal (1 stars), Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, Army Service Ribbon, Army Overseas Ribbon (2 device).
