6th Recruiting Brigade Command Sergeant Major

Command Sgt. Maj. Cedric O. White

Command Sgt. Maj. Cedric O. White was born in Wichita, Kansas and raised in Muskogee Oklahoma. He enlisted in the Army June 18, 1996 in the delayed entry program as a Motor Transport Operator (88M). He completed Basic Training and AIT at Ft Leonard Wood, Mo.

His military education includes, Warrior Leadership Course, Total Army Instructor Training, Army Basic Recruiter Course, Senior Leaders Course, Station Commanders Course, DA First Sergeant Course, the United States Army Recruiting First Sergeant Course, Master Resiliency Trainer Course, and is a graduate of the United States Sergeants Major Academy Class 67.

Command Sgt. Maj. White’s assignments include Fort Polk, LA, 2nd Infantry Division (Camp Nimble Korea), Fort Benning Ga, Fort Riley Kansas (Iraq Forward Support), and Fort Leonard Wood, Mo, Indianapolis Recruiting Battalion serving as a recruiter, station commander, and first sergeant. He also served in the Dallas Recruiting Battalion, Lewisville Company First Sergeant. Command Sgt. Maj. White also served as the Operations Sergeant Major for Los Angles Recruiting Battalion. His previous assignment was the Command Sgt. Maj. of the Atlanta Recruiting Battalion.

His awards include the Meritorious Service Medal with 3 oak leaf cluster, Army Commendation Medal with silver oak leaf cluster, the Army Achievement Medal with 6 oak leaf cluster, Army Superior Unit Award, seven Good Conduct Medals, the National Defense Service Medal with Bronze Star, the Global War on Terrorism  Service Medal, Global War on Terrorism Expeditionary Medal, the Armed Forces Service Medal, NCOES ribbon with 3 device, and the Army Service ribbon.  He earned the Combat Ac􀀁on Badge, the Driver’s Badge Wheel and the US Army Gold Recruiting Badge with 3 Sapphires, the Recruiting Ring and the Glen E. Morrell Award for Recruiting Excellence. Command Sergeant Major White is also a member of the Sergeant Audie Murphy Club.

Command Sgt. Maj. White holds a Master’s Degree (MBA), Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Management.
