Command Sgt. Maj. Marcus J. Bendy

Command Sgt. Maj. Marcus J. Bendy is a native of Beaumont, Texas. He entered the Army in June of 1998. After completing Basic Training at Fort Leonard Wood, Missouri and Advanced Individual Training at Fort Sam Houston, Texas, he was awarded military occupational specialty 91B, medical specialist. He
later reclassified to MOS 79R, recruiter in 2006.

CSM Bendy’s assignments include: Line medic 1st Battalion 35th Armor, 1st Armored Division Baumholder, Germany; Senior line Medic 3rd Battalion 67th Armor,4th Infantry Division Fort Hood, Texas; Emergency Room Team Leader Brooke Army Medical Center, Fort Sam Houston, Texas; Detailed Recruiter Carbondale, Illinois; Limited Production Station Commander South County Recruiting Station, St. Louis Battalion; Limited Production Station Commander Irving Recruiting Station, Dallas Recruiting Battalion; First Sergeant East Bay Recruiting Company Walnut Creek, California; Medical Recruiting Brigade Senior Operations NCO Ft. Knox, Kentucky; First Sergeant Baybrook Recruiting Company Houston, Texas; Senior Master Trainer, Houston Recruiting Battalion.

CSM Bendy’s military education includes the United States Army Sergeants Major Academy (Class 67), DA First Sergeants Course, Recruiting First Sergeants Course, Senior Leaders Course, Advanced Leaders Course, Warrior Leaders Course, Unit Training Management Course, Station Commanders Course, and the Army Recruiting Course.

CSM Bendy holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Post University and a Master of Business Administration from Liberty University.

CSM Bendy’s awards include the Meritorious Service Medal (2nd Award), The Army Commendation Medal (7th Award), the Army Achievement Medal (6th Award), The Good Conduct Medal (5th Award), The National Defense Service Medal, The Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, The Noncommissioned Officer
