U.S. Army Warrior Fitness Team Member

Spc. Justin Loy

SPC Justin Loy was born in Monticello, Indiana, and graduated from Frontier Jr./Sr. High School in Chalmers, Indiana in May 2010. He attended college at Purdue University and earned his degree in agronomy. He joined the Army in 2016 and completed basic training at Fort Benning, Georgia. He was assigned to 1-5 Infantry Battalion, 1-25 Stryker Brigade Combat Team in Fort Wainwright, Alaska. He served there for three years as a M249 SAW gunner, driver, team leader, and a vehicle commander. He completed a training rotation to the National Training Center and Seoul, South Korea. Loy is now assigned to the U.S. Army Warrior Fitness Team as part of the Recruiting Outreach Company as a strongman competitor.

 

Loy has a distinguished fitness career that started in 2017 where he took second place in his first Strongman competition. He has won multiple competitions since and is now ranked 11th in the world.

 

His military awards include 3 Army Accommodation Medals, Army Good Conduct Medal, Korean Defense Service Medal, and the Expert Marksmanship Badge.
