Lt. Col. Mark A. Davis

Lt. Col. Mark A. Davis is a native of Sandusky, Ohio. He earned his commission as a Military Police officer from the University of Toledo in December 2000. He is a graduate of the Military Police Officer Basic and Advanced Courses, Airborne School, Air Assault School, the British Army Royal Military Police Close Protection Course

Davis' previous key development assignments include Military Police Platoon Leader, 4th Military Police Company, Fort Hood, Texas, and OIF I, Bayji, Iraq; Infantry Company Commander, D Company, 3-187th Infantry Regiment, 3rd Brigade, 101st Airborne Division (Air Assault), Fort Campbell, Kentucky and Samarra, Iraq; S3, 504th MP Battalion, Joint Base Lewis-McChord, Washington and Executive Officer, 42nd MP Brigade, Joint Base Lewis-McChord, Washington.

His broadening assignments include Operations Officer for the 4th Infantry Division (Mechanized) Provost Marshal, Fort Hood, Texas; Provost Marshal, 3rd Brigade, 101st Airborne Division (Air Assault); Operations Officer, Washington CID Battalion, Fort Myer, Virginia; Aide-de Camp to the U.S. Army Provost Marshal General and CID Commander, Fort Belvoir, Virginia; U.S. Army Military Police Exchange Officer to the British Army, Bulford Camp, England; Chief of Plans, 42D Military Police Brigade, Joint Base Lewis-McChord, Washington and Executive Officer and Assistant Professor of Military Science, University of South Florida, Tampa, Florida. Most recently, Davis served as the Professor of Military Science at Sam Houston State University, Huntsville, Texas.

Davis earned his Bachelor of Science in Physical Therapy from the University of Toledo in December 2000 and his Master of Arts in Business and Organizational Security Management from Webster University in May  2012. He also recently completed a Master of Arts in Higher Education Administration from the University of Louisville.

His awards and decorations include the Bronze Star Medal with 1 OLC, the Meritorious Service Medal with 4 OLC, the Army Commendation Medal with 3 OLC, the Army Achievement Medal with 2 OLC, the Iraq and Afghanistan Campaign Medals, the National Defense Service Medal, the Parachutist Badge, the Air Assault Badge, The German Armed Forces Efficiency Badge (Gold) and the Military Police Corps Order of the Marechaussee (Bronze).

He has been married to his high school sweetheart, Amy, for 17 years and they have two teenagers: Connor (16) and Jake (13).
