THE FRONTIER BRIGADE - "NO EXCUSES"
The U.S. Army 3rd Recruiting Brigade - activated October 1, 1994, and headquartered at Fort Knox, Kentucky - is the center of Army recruiting activities for a vast territory spanning the north central United States.
The 614,390 square mile area covered by the 3rd Recruiting Brigade is composed of the states of Michigan, Ohio, Indiana, Wisconsin, Minnesota, North Dakota, South Dakota, Illinois, Kentucky, and Iowa. In addition, the 3rd Brigade area includes regions of Missouri, Pennsylvania, West Virginia, Tennessee, and Virginia.
The 3rd Recruiting Brigade oversees the Army recruiting efforts of eight battalions, including: Chicago Battalion, Cleveland Battalion, Columbus Battalion, Indianapolis Battalion, Great Lakes Battalion, Milwaukee Battalion, Minneapolis Battalion, and Nashville Battalion.
