Fort Knox, KY –
Sgt. 1st Class Brenda Nchanzohasaah, a native of Los Angeles, serves as a recruiter with the Laurel recruiting station in Laurel, Maryland. She was recently recognized by the leadership of U.S. Army Recruiting Command as one of the standout performers in the command.
“I serve because I love what I do, changing the lives of my recruits by providing them the opportunity to better their lives,” Nchanzohasaah said. “The Army continues to provide for my family in a substantial way.”
Nchanzohasaah joined the U.S. Army as a Culinary Specialist. She was motivated by the satisfaction of providing nourishment and comfort through food, especially to servicemembers.
“I was motivated to join the U.S. Army to secure a stable to secure a stable future for myself and take advantage of the opportunities for personal and professional growth,” Nchanzohasaah said. “The chance to be part of something greater than myself also inspired me.”
Her future goals are completing a degree in cybersecurity management and policies and reclassifying to a fulltime recruiter and continuing to be a positive role model for her children and others.
USAREC has given her the opportunity to be a role model for females who are thinking about joining the Army. It allows her to make a direct impact on the lives of recruits while serving as a mentor to them.
When not recruiting Nchanzohasaah enjoys traveling, dancing, fitness and cooking.
“I attribute my success to the steadfast support of my husband, Quindiashu Kunde, and my family, who have always encouraged me and believe in me,” Nchanzohasaah said. “Additionally, my mentor, Sgt. Maj. Herinah Asaah, who has been instrumental in my growth and achievements.”
