Atlanta Recruiting Battalion Commander

Lt. Col. Lindsey J. Gerheim

Lt. Col. Lindsey J. Gerheim joins the Atlanta “Pathfinder” Army Recruiting Battalion with over seventeen years of service in the United State Army. Gerheim was commissioned in 2007 as a Military Police (MP) Officer after graduating from the United State Military Academy at West Point. 

Gerheim proudly returns home to her native Alpharetta, GA from Washington, D.C. where she served the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff (CJCS) as Deputy Legislative Assistant (2023), Senior Advisor and Director of Operations to the National Cyber Director (2022) and was selected as a White House Fellow placed at the Department of Commerce (2020) and Office of Personnel Management (2021). 

Her overseas deployments include Aide-de-Camp to the Army Central Command (ARCENT) Deputy Commanding General of Operations (DCG-O) in Camp Arifjan, Kuwait (2016), Commander of the 66th MP Company to Guantanamo Bay, Cuba in support of Operation Enduring Freedom and Joint Task Force – GTMO (2013), and Platoon Leader in the 561st MP Company for 15-months to Bayji, Iraq in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom (OIF) (2008). 

Her key developmental positions include Brigade Operations Officer (S3) for the 3rd MP Group Criminal Investigations Division (CID) (2019) and Executive Officer (XO) for the Fort Benning Battalion (CID) (2018). Other key junior officer assignments include MP Basic Officer Leader Course (BOLC) Small Group Leader (2015), the Assistant S3 for the 6th MP Group (CID) (2012), S4 for the 716thth MP Battalion (2011), and 561st MP Company XO (2010). 

Gerheim’s education includes a B.S. degree in Management from the United States Military Academy in West Point (2007), M.A. degree in Business Security and Organization Management from Webster’s University (2012) and is a professional graduate of the Army’s Command and General Staff College (2017), Military Police Captain’s Career Course (2011), and Basic Officer’s Leader Course (2007). She has also attended numerous professionally enhancing courses such as FBI National Academy (2016), Master Resilience Trainer (2015), and MP Special Reaction Team Training Course (2005). Gerheim is also a member of the All-Army Softball and All-Armed Forces Softball Teams (2009, 2010 and 2012).
