From Mexico to the U.S. Army: Tempe recruiter excels serving adopted country

For many immigrants, serving in the U.S. Army is a way of giving back to the nation which has given them a better life and helped make their dreams become reality. It’s a selfless service which makes the Army a unique melting pot of Soldiers from many diverse races and nations. Part of this group is Staff Sgt. Roberto Morales, a recruiter assigned to the Superstition Recruiting Station, Tempe Recruiting Company, who was born and raised in Mexico, until he left for the United States at the age of 9.

Phoenix recruiting medic spearheads battalion COVID-19 efforts

As the fight to contain the new coronavirus continues, one medic in the Phoenix Recruiting Battalion is doing his part to ensure Soldiers and families in the battalion remain safe from the disease. Sgt. 1st Class Jared Siple, recruiter, Buckeye Recruiting Station, Phoenix West Recruiting Company, is currently serving as the lead medic for the battalion COVID-19 Medical Tracker Team, which oversees both the states of Arizona and New Mexico.

Combat medic covers down on medical advice for Oklahoma City Recruiting Battalion

During the COVID-19 pandemic most of the United States is teleworking and going virtual eight hours a day, the US Army is no different. Staff Sgt. Christopher Friesen, an Army recruiter assigned to Army Recruiting Station Wichita West, Kansas, volunteered his services to virtually screen the members of his battalion for COVID-19 symptoms.

Sgt. 1st Class Matt Vinson doesn't consider himself a hero. He did what he said was the right thing to do. When Vinson and 1st Lt. Lewis Jackson, both of Phoenix North Recruiting Company, saw an overturned SUV on March 20, they both immediately leapt into action, realizing the imminent danger.

Over 150 citizens from the San Antonio and surrounding areas took the oath of enlistment during the first ever Joint services ceremony hosted at the San Antonio Stock Show and Rodeo on February 22, 2020.
