351M - Human Intelligence Collection Technician
 
Duties
Directs Military Source Operations (MSO), interrogations, screenings, and overt debriefings in English and foreign language; integrates cultural intelligence; integrates analysis into HUMINT operations; principal advisor to the Command and staff on HUMINT operations, training, policies, and procedures; manages HUMINT support to the Military Decision Making Process (MDMP); employs external capabilities, and integrates automation ISO HUMINT operations; conducts all HUMINT operations IAW applicable laws, policies, and treaties.
 
***Applicants must meet all Administrative Requirements to become a Warrant Officer.***
 

351M Minimum Qualifications:

  • Must be SGT (E-5) or above. (NO WAIVERS)
  • Must have successfully completed 35M MOS producing course. (NO WAIVERS – Service members from other branches visit https://recruiting.army.mil/ISO/AWOR/AF_NAVY_MC1/ to identify accepted MOS feeders)
  • Must enclose a written Letter of Recommendation (LoR) from a 351M (CW2-CW5).  If no 351M is available, please contact Proponent for guidance/assistance. (NO WAIVERS)
  • Must have a current Top Secret clearance based on a Single Scope Background Investigation (SSBI) and be currently eligible for access to sensitive compartmentalized information (SCI) before acceptance into the WOCS. In addition, applicants requiring periodic reinvestigation (PR) must submit their PR paperwork prior to submitting a WO Accession Application. (NO WAIVERS)
  • Must have successfully completed ALC Phase 1. (Waivable)
  • Must have a minimum of three years demonstrated 35M experience (Waivable)
  • Must submit a minimum of two (2) NCOERs, 24 months rated time reflecting technical, tactical competence and exceptional duty performance ratings as a 35M demonstrated by rater and senior rater comments. (Waivable)

* Applicants should wait for their most recent finalized NCOER before application submission.

* The most recent NCOER submitted cannot exceed 12 months from the date the WO Application is submitted.  

* Applicants WILL submit all NCOERS, regardless of duty position or duty MOS, for review by the MI WO Proponent and Accession Board.

351M Preferred Qualifications (*Preferred qualifications are NOT prerequisites.  Candidates meeting the minimum qualifications may still apply.  Preferred qualifications are provided for units, Soldiers, and CDRs to identify the best talent within their formations):

  • Have a minimum of four years demonstrated 35M experience
  • Have exemplary service as a 35M in two or more operational assignments preferably in multiple MACOMs and/or service at multiple echelons.
  • Demonstrated high performance (Most Qualified or enumerated Highly Qualified) on the last four NCOERs, covering at least 36 months rated time. NCOERs reflect technical competence, leadership, and agility as a 35M demonstrated by rater and senior rater comments.
  • Recent service in a Force Generation or Army Transformation Initiative organization
  • Exemplary fitness and bearing as evidenced through AFT scores and adherence to Height/Weight standards
  • Completed advanced civilian education or  technical certifications relevant to the intelligence field or leadership
