Essentials of Emergency Medicine 2018

Los Angeles Medical Recruiting Company conducts Change of Command Ceremony

Capt. David O'Hea took command of the Los Angeles Medical Recruiting Company on 11 May in a Change of Command Ceremony on the USS Iowa at the Port of Los Angeles. Lt. Col. Matthew Mapes, 6th Medical Recruiting Battalion commander, presided over the ceremony to transfer command from the outgoing commander, Capt. Shawn Linhares to O'Hea.

Trauma, Critical Care & Acute Care Surgery 2018

U.S. Army health care recruiters explained the benefits of a career in Army Medicine to attendees of the Trauma, Critical Care & Acute Care Surgery Conference at Caesars Palace on 10 April in Las Vegas, Nev. Soldiers and Army Civilians from the 6th Medical Recruiting Battalion and Las Vegas and Aurora Medical Recruiting Stations were on hand to discuss the Army's more than 80 medical specialties for both active duty and reserve opportunities.

USAREC DCG visits Phoenix Medical Recruiting Station

U.S. Army Recruiting Command's Deputy Commanding General of Operations, Brigadier General Kevin Vereen's visited the Phoenix Medical Recruiting Station in Phoenix, Ariz. for the unit's situational awareness brief. Joining the DCG-O to discuss the medical recruiting mission were 6th Medical Recruiting Battalion Commander, Lieutenant Colonel Matthew Mapes, Civilian Aide to the Secretary of the Army, Dr. Randy Groth, and Community Partners.
