USAREC Public Affairs

Four U.S. Army Recruiting Command civilians claimed first-place in seven different categories in the Training and Doctrine Command-level 2018 Maj. Gen. Keith L. Ware Communications Awards competition.

Lara Hartman-Poirrier, USAREC Public Affairs, was named the TRADOC Civilian Photographer of the year.

Patrick Henry, USAREC G7/9, received first place for layout and design.

Alun Thomas, Phoenix Recruiting Battalion, earned two awards for best news photo and best feature photo.

Robert Fisher, Chicago Recruiting Battalion, claimed three awards in the graphics division for animation, digital art and identity design.

“The winners all demonstrated excellence in achieving the objectives of the TRADOC and Army Public Affairs Program,” said Col. Michael Indovina, TRADOC Public Affairs director. “The TRADOC competition is a feeder to the Army and Department of Defense competitions in order to recognize, cultivate and inspire excellence within the public affairs community.”

USAREC personnel claimed seven of the 16 awards given. The winners will receive an award certificate signed by the TRADOC commanding general, and their entries have been submitted to the Army-level competition.
