Staff Sgt. Seth Inman was born and raised in Lexington, MO. He attended Lexington High School and upon completion in year 2000, he moved to the Olympic Training Center to pursue his shooting career. Inman has also completed the IBEW/NECA NJATC Journeyman Electrician’s Course in Kansas City, MO in the year 2007.
Inman enlisted in the Army Oct. 26, 2011 and went to OSUT at Fort Benning. Upon graduation, he was assigned to the United States Army Marksmanship Unit at Fort Benning and went to the Shotgun section as a shooter/instructor. In 2012 Inman deployed to Afghanistan in support of USAMU’s Training Mission on team 12-4.
Inman first started shooting through the Boy Scouts of America when he was 12 years old. This led to Inman competing in local, state and national matches though the Amateur Trapshooting Association. From 1995-2000, Inman made every Junior All-American Team. Inman began shooting USA Shooting events in 1998. Since that time Inman has made numerous teams through USA Shooting including the National Team 7 times.
His awards include the Army Commendation Medal, Army Achievement Medal (2), Army Good Conduct Medal (2), Afghanistan Campaign Medal w/Combat Star, National Defense Medal, and Global War on Terrorism Medal, NCO Professional Development Ribbon (2), Army Service Ribbon, and NATO Medal. Sgt. Inman also has one Superior Unit Award and Expert Marksmanship Badge (rifle). He graduated BLC in 2015 and Infantry ALC in 2017.
