Command Sgt. Maj. Edward Lee is a native of Queens, NY. He enlisted in the United States Army in March 2024. He attended One Stop Unit Training (OSUT) at Ft Moore, Georgia as an Infantryman.
His assignments include; Fort Bragg N.C., Camp Rudder, and Eglin Air Force Base, Fl., Lee has served in various leadership positions to include Team Leader, Reconnaissance Team Leader, Anti- Armor Platoon Platoon Sergeant, Reconnaissance Platoon Sergeant, Ranger Instructor, First Sergeant, 82nd Airborne Division's Small Unit Ranger Tactics 1st Sgt., and Immediate Response Force (IRF) Coordinator NCOIC. He has deployed to both Afghanistan and Iraq.
Lee’s education includes all NCOPD schools, and he is currently enrolled in the United States Army Sergeant’s Major Academy Distance Learning class 50. He is also a graduate of Airborne School, Ranger School, Jumpmaster School, Pathfinder School, Sniper Employment Leaders Course, and Long Range Marksmanship Course.
Lee's awards include the Bronze Star (1OLC), Meritorious Service Medal (2OLC), Army Commendation Medal (3OLC), Army Achievement Medal (4OLC), Meritorious Unit Commendation (1OLC) the Combat Infantryman’s Badge, Expert Infantryman’s Badge, Master rated Parachutist badge, Air Assault badge, Pathfinder badge, and various other awards and decorations.
