Sgt. 1st Class Nicole M. Haggman, Operations NCOIC and former member of the International Rifle Team with the U.S. Army Marksmanship Unit, Fort Benning, Georgia, has distinguished herself through her many accomplishments. 

A native of Kearny, N.J., Haggman graduated from Kearny High School in 1999 and furthered her education at the University of Nebraska and West Virginia University where she earned her Bachelor of Science in Sport and Exercise Psychology. 

Haggman started shooting in 1990, has numerous marksmanship accomplishments.  The following are some highlights over the course of her career.   

Haggman enlisted in the Army Aug.18, 2004.  After she completed Basic Training and Truck Driver School at Fort Leonard Wood, MO. she was assigned to the U.S. Army Marksmanship Unit on Aug.3, 2005. Haggman served on the International Rifle Team, the Instructor Training Group and in headquarters in the operations shop. In 2012, Haggman deployed to Afghanistan in support of Operation Enduring Freedom to train Afghanistan National Army and NATO soldiers in marksmanship.  

Haggman graduated from Warrior Leaders Course (2008); Bus Driver Course (2008); Combat Life Saver (2008); Advanced Leaders Course (2011); SHSARP Course (2012); Unit Prevention Leader (2012); EO Leaders (2012); Basic Instructor Training (2013); Senior Leaders Course (2013); Project Management Course (2020). 

Her awards include Meritorious Service Medal, Army Commendation Medal (4), Army Achievement Medal (4), Army Superior Unit Award, Good Conduct Medal (6), National Defense Service Medal, Afghanistan Campaign Medal (CS), Global War on Terrorism Medal, Military Outstanding Volunteer Service Medal, Noncommissioned Officer Professional Development Ribbon (3), North Atlantic Treaty Organization Medal, Army Service Ribbon, and International Distinguished Badge.
