Command Sgt. Maj. Jason M. Schwartz

Command Sgt. Maj. Jason M. Schwartz is a native of Longmont, Colo. He enlisted in the U.S. Army in January of 2002, where he attended Basic Combat Training and AIT at Fort Knox, Ky. His entry military occupation specialty was as an M1A1 Armor Crewmember. His early assignments include 1/3 ACR 1st Squadron, Ft Carson, CO, and 1/68 Armor, 4th Infantry Division, Ft. Carson CO.

Command Sgt. Maj Schwartz last duty assignment was as the operations sergeant major, Portland Recruiting Battalion. Command Sgt. Maj Schwartz has been recognized as the NCO of the Year for the Special Operations Recruiting Battalion (2015), First Sergeant of the Year for Salt Lake City Recruiting BN (2018), and CentCal Recruiting BN (2019)

Command Sgt. Maj Schwartz is a graduate of the U.S. Army Sergeants Major Academy-Class 71. He has completed all levels of Noncommissioned Officer professional development system, First Sergeant's course, Army Recruiter Course, Station Commander Course, Master Resilience Course, Common Faculty Development (CFD-IC), and Army Retention NCO Course.

Command Sgt. Maj Schwartz graduated from Post University with a bachelor’s degree in business management.

His awards and decorations include the Meritorious Service Medal with four oak leaf clusters, the Army Commendation Medal with one silver oak leaf clusters, and two oak leaf cluster, the Army Achievement Medal with silver oak leaf clusters, the Valorous Unit Award, Army Superior Unit Award, six Good Conduct Medal, National Defense Service Medal, Iraqi Campaign Medal with four campaign stars, Global War on Terrorism Medal, Combat Action Badge, Gold Recruiter Badge with three sapphires, Recruiter Ring, Glen E. Morrell Award. Army Chief of Staff Award for Recruiting excellence.
