CSM Rosella D. Scott

Command Sgt. Maj. Rosella D. Scott hails from Charleston, South Carolina. He graduated from North Charleston High School in 1993. After graduation, he enlisted into the United States Army on August 19, 1993. Scott graduated from Basic Combat Training, followed by Advance individual Training at Fort Sill, Oklahoma as a Field Artillery Cannon crewmember. CSM Scott is a graduate of Columbia Southern University, where he earned an Associate’s Degree in Applied Science in Business, a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Marketing and Masters of Science Degree in Organizational Leadership.

Scott’s assignments include 2nd Battalion 3rd Field Artillery Regiment, Giessen, Germany; 1st Battalion 41st Field Artillery Regiment, Fort Stewart, Georgia; Howitzer Battery 2nd Squadron 3rd Armored Calvary Regiment, Fort Carson; Colorado; New Orleans Recruiting Battalion with duty at Shreveport, Louisiana,  New Orleans Recruiting Company, New Orleans, Louisiana; U.S. Army Recruiting and Retention School, Fort Jackson, South Carolina; Baltimore Recruiting Battalion with duty at Potomac Recruiting Company; Richmond Recruiting Battalion with duty at Richmond Recruiting Company, Richmond, Virginia; 1st Recruiting BDE HQs, Fort Meade, Maryland, 6th Recruiting Brigade Headquarters, Las Vegas, Nevada; Command Sergeant Major, Oklahoma City Recruiting Battalion, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma and USAREC G7/9, Marketing, Education, and Outreach Directorate Sergeant Major, Ft. Knox, Kentucky.

Scott’s military education includes the United States Army Sergeants Major Academy, Class 66 (“Drive the Force”). Recruiting First Sergeant Course, Senior Leaders Course, Station Commander Course, Army Recruiter Course, Combat Life Saver’s Course, Guidance Counselor/Operations Course, Basic Instructor Training Course, Action Officer Development Course and Manger Development Course.

His awards and decorations include the Meritorious Service Medal (5th award), the Army Commendation Medal (6th award), the Army Achievement Medal (8th award), the Gold Army Recruiter Badge with Sapphire Stars (3rd award) the distinguished Gold Army Recruiter Ring, the prestigious Glenn E. Morrel ring and medallion, the Recruiting Excellence Medallion and the Order of Saint Barbara Medallion. He is also a member of the prestigious Sergeant Audie Murphy Club.

Scott has two daughters, Jasmine, 20, and Jhamera, 17.
