Staff Sgt. Nathan Staskiewicz was born and raised in Omaha, Nebraska. He graduated from Millard West High School and joined the Army in August 2017. After completing Infantry One Station Unit Training at Fort Benning, Georgia, he was assigned to the United States Army Marksmanship Unit (USAMU) Action Shooting Team. Since his assignment to the team in December 2017, SSG Staskiewicz has over 15 major 3-gun competitions including 3 3-Gun National Championships.
Staskiewicz’s awards include: the Army Commendation Medal with 2 Oak Leaf Clusters, Army Achievement Medal with 3 Oak Leaf Clusters, Army Good Conduct Medal, National Defense Service Medal, Global War on Terror Service Medal, NCO Professional Development Medal, and Army Service Ribbon. He has also earned his Airborne Wings, the German Armed Forces Proficiency Gold Badge the EIC Distinguished Pistol Badge and EIC Rifle Bronze Badge. He has also competed the Special Forces Advanced Urban Combat Course, Low-Vis Tactics Course, Special Forces Sniper Course Lvl 2, Special Forces Advanced Sniper Course, Advancd Leaders Course, Basic Leaders Course, Airborne School, and Air Assault School.
