Fort Carson, CO –
The U.S. Army’s 2nd Recruiting Brigade recently wrapped up a highly successful Educators Tour (even though is snowed in May), hosting a diverse group of education professionals at Fort Carson, Colorado, from May 5-8, 2026.
The multi-day event brought together educators from key southeastern cities, including Raleigh, Montgomery, Tampa, Miami, Jacksonville, and Columbia. Designed to bridge the gap between civilian communities and the military, the tour provided these educators with a unique, behind-the-scenes perspective on the daily lives of Soldiers and the multitude of career and educational opportunities the Army provides.
Throughout their time at the "Mountain Post," the visiting educators stepped outside the traditional classroom and into the boots of American Soldiers. The immersive itinerary featured hands-on demonstrations of military equipment, facility tours, and direct engagements with Army personnel. By participating in these experiential learning events, the attendees gained a firsthand understanding of the rigorous training, advanced technology, and leadership development that characterize military service.
Army leadership emphasizes that events like the Educators Tour are critical for ensuring that high school and college advisors as well as high level school administrators are well-equipped to discuss military career paths with their students. Armed with their new experiences, the educators are returning to their respective school districts with a deeper, more accurate understanding of what it means to serve in the modern Army.
